Lincoln and Twelve Bridges high schools perform well at league 18-hole tournaments

Lincoln High School girls’ golf team members played in their first 18-hole Foothill Valley League tournament of the season at the Haggin Oaks Alister Mackenzie course Monday, finishing in fourth place with a team score of 550.

“All six players have never played 18 holes and they were such troopers out there,” coach Daniela Solley said. “I am so proud of my girls.”


Women’s Golf Places Second at Coeur D’Alene Collegiate

Led by a 69 from freshman Sneha Sharan and a career-best 70 from Sydney Smith, the Sacramento State women’s golf team placed second at the Coeur d’Alene Collegiate on Tuesday. The Hornets totaled 297-289-287-873 to finish one stroke behind Hawaii for the team title and two strokes ahead of host Gonzaga who was third.


Smith’s 72 Guides Women’s Golf in First Round of the Season

Sydney Smith shot a 1-over par round of 72 to lead the Sacramento State women’s golf team in the opening round of the Couer d’Alene Resort Classic on Sunday. Smith’s effort ties her for sixth place and the Hornets are tied for fifth with a total of 297.
