Haggin Oaks is excited to host the World Long Drive Local and Regional Qualifier at Haggin Oaks on April 1st and 2nd!

THE ROAD TO THE WORLD LONG DRIVE CHAMPIONSHIP

The 2024 World Long Drive Championship will have competitors from over 24 countries competing for a $400,000 World Championship purse. Qualifying begins in March and the World Championship will culminate in August at Bobby Jones Golf Course in Atlanta

How does one compete in the World Long Drive Championship?

Local Qualifier

  • Competitors pay $50 per try (one try is 6 golf balls)
  • Competition to be run using ball tracking technology (indoor or outdoor)
  • Competitors will be given 2 min. and 30 sec. to hit 6 balls
  • Competitors may enter as many times as they wish to increase their chances to qualify for a Regional Qualifying spot
  • Entry Fees: All subsequent tries purchased are $50.00 for six balls.

Regional Qualifier

  • The top 5 finishers from each Regional are awarded an entry into the World Long Drive Championship in Atlanta
  • 4 Regional Championships are conducted across North America – The one at Haggin Oaks will be on April 1, 2024
  • Stage 2 Regional Qualifying Entry fee:
  • Competitors must have a WLD Pro Membership ($300 on time annual fee)

World Championship

  • 25 of 96 World Championship entries are filled through the Qualifying process
  • The World Championship will have a 2 hour broadcast on the Golf Channel
  • There is no entry fee at the World Championship for Regional Qualifiers

What You Can Expect From NorCal Long Drive

  • Weekly division meetings every Thursday starting at dark on the Haggin Oaks Driving Range
  • 30-45 minute warm-ups to qualify for divisions
  • Divisions based on ball speed with Toptracer Simulators
    • Beginner: 160 and below
    • Intermediate:161-180
    • Expert: 181-200
    • Pro: 200+
  • During warm-ups, hitters will record their best ball speed to arrange competitions for the night
  • Participants will run double eliminations until there is a winner for each division every night
