The Hangout brings a food truck experience to the Haggin Oaks Driving Range
Morton Golf opened a food truck called The Hangout on the award-winning Haggin Oaks Driving Range in April 2018. The Hangout features an entirely new and exciting menu of gourmet hamburgers and hot dogs, sandwiches, street tacos, appetizers, drinks and more.
Located at the entrance of the Haggin Oaks Driving Range, The Hangout is the perfect spot in the heart of Sacramento to sit back and relax with friends and golfing buddies, grab a few drinks and share some delectable dishes.
If you haven’t stopped by the driving range lately, then you need to check it out. The Hangout features a brand new patio complete with comfortable seating and fire pits. Combining food with fun, The Hangout is located right on the driving range. You can grab your clubs to hit a few balls – practice your golf game or compete for fun with friends. Or grab your putter and putt on the adjacent MacKenzie Putting Course. This 9-hole miniature golf course is free to play with the purchase of a bucket of balls on the driving range. Don’t have clubs? Don’t worry! Rent one club for $3 or 3 clubs for $5.
And how is the food? Jennifer Morton, Marketing Manager for Morton Golf, raves over several of the dishes, including one of her personal favorites, the “Fish n Chips Sandwich.” This sandwich has crispy beer battered cod with tartar sauce, sweet slaw, and crispy homemade potato chips. You wouldn’t expect this sandwich to be as comforting and delicious as it is!
“And if you are bringing friends to the range, then I highly suggest the Hangout Sampler. It has all the shareables you’d want: wings, garlic fries, egg rolls, and mozzarella sticks.”
And don’t forget the Brisket Fries! They are a yummy combination of queso, BBQ brisket, and house pickled jalapeños all piled atop sidewinder fries and drizzled with a cilantro-lime créme. You’ll want a fork when tackling this dish. It was so good! Or, grab a serving of our Chicken Chorizo Nachos. Tortilla chips are topped with nacho cheese, chorizo, chicken, guacamole, pickled jalapeños, and cilantro-lime créme.”
According to Dave Ohlsen, Assistant Food and Beverage Manager at Haggin Oaks, “The Hangout is the place to come for great food and to hang out with friends and family.”
