Tiger Woods Shoots 7-over Thursday at the PGA Championship

Tiger may have gotten off to a good start on Thursday at the 2011 PGA Championship, shooting 3 under par after the first 5 holes. But the day declined rapidly as he shot 10 over for the last thirteen holes, including three double bogeys. When the day was done, Tiger found himself sitting 7-over par – his worst round ever at the PGA Championship and his second worse score ever in a major. He’s currently tied for 129th place. Yikes!

Tiger is coming off an extended break from the tour due to injuries to his left leg. Should we have expected more from this once great golfer who recently made headlines (again) after firing his long-time caddy, Steve Williams? I don’t think we’ll be seeing a 15th major title at this year’s PGA Championship for Tiger. This hole seems too deep to climb from.
