Cleveland/Srixon CEO Greg Hopkins Resigns

After 16 years with the company, Greg Hopkins, the CEO of Cleveland Golf/Srixon resigned on Tuesday.

Hopkins released a statement saying, “I’ve been with Cleveland Golf for 16 years and have seen tremendous growth for the company during that time… Now I’m at a point in my life where I want to do some things and explore some ideas that I’ve always wanted to pursue.”

Cleveland Golf has seen it’s share of ups and downs during Hopkins’ reign. For a time, Cleveland Golf was the leader in wedges although that position has declined recently due to competition with Titleist.

Hopkins is an avid golfer who has competed in two Senior British Opens, the U.S. Senior Open and the Senior PGA Championship. Perhaps he intends to pursue his passion for golf or spend more time with his family. Hopkins many pursuits and we certainly wish him the best!
