Grizzlies and Panthers win SFL and FVL titles

The Granite Bay High girls’ golf team emerged victorious at the final 18-hole Sierra Foothill League tournament on Oct. 12 finishing with a team score of 365, 32 strokes lower than their prior 18-hole score on Sept. 21.

Senior Anika Varma had the low individual round shooting a seven-under-par 65 with three eagles. Varma finished third in All-League points.


Sacramento State Women’s Golf Finishes 8th at The Clash

The Sacramento State women’s golf team completed its fall schedule by placing eighth out of 18 teams at The Clash at Boulder Creek on Tuesday.

The Hornets were 4-over par as a team during the round and were led by an even-par round of 72 from Jennifer Koga and 73s from Sydney Smith and Caitlin Maurice.
