The First Tee of Greater Sacramento Congratulates 6 Juniors Selected to Participate in The Nature Valley First Tee Open

The First Tee of Greater Sacramento is pleased to announce that six of their amazing juniors golfers were selected this year to participate in The Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach, July 3rd -8th.

The TFTGS chapter qualified more than any other chapter in the worldwide network.  This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for these juniors.  They have earned this honor, by showing extraordinary core values on and off the course, volunteering many hours in our community, obtaining high academics, and through their golf ability and accomplishments.

Congratulations to:

Kit Carson, Cameron Champ, Emily Laskin, James Reede III, Sadie Strain and Kelsey Ulep

We know they will all have an outstanding time representing The First Tee of Greater Sacramento.   Each will have opportunities not only to play on some of the best golf courses in the world, but to meet new friends, learn tips from the Champion Tour Players, and experience one of “The Best Weeks of Their Lives”.

The Nature Valley First Tee Open at Pebble Beach is a 54-hole golf event, the first of its kind, featuring 81 Champions Tour players and 81 junior golfers (selected from chapters of The First Tee) ages 15-18. In addition to the Champions Tour players and juniors, 162 amateurs complete the field.

Two of the Monterey Peninsula’s most challenging and famous golf courses serve as the venue for the tournament, with play rotating between Pebble Beach Golf Links and Del Monte Golf Course on Friday and Saturday. The final round is held at Pebble Beach Golf Links. The Tournament is televised nationally on Golf Channel.
