My Journey – Prague to Spain: John Catlin

“For those of who don’t know me, I am a professional golfer from Sacramento, California, USA, currently playing on the European Tour and who shifted his base from there to Thailand to play on the Asian Development Tour and after clinching my breakthrough win at Combiphar Golf Invitational in 2016 I moved up to the Asian Tour where I won thrice in 2018 alone, i.e., Asia-Pacific Classic, Sarawak Championship and Yeangder TPC.”

High School Golf

“The end of championship seasons are abrupt, they are clear and they end with some emotion.  Our Falcons are the classiest, close-knit and best representatives of what golf embodies in a sport for a lifetime I can think of.  Be very proud!

The coaches and I are so proud of our parents, players, and supporters for this season.  We knew we were on a very tough golf course (the Ridge GC 71.5, 130), we knew we were in for a very long day (6+ hours of play), we knew we were one of the top teams and we knew we had to play very well to move on.  We were prepared, we were aware and we went out to do our best.  There were 26 teams represented in both team and individual play, this is the largest divisional event in Nor-Cal. We came in fourth place in the team competition behind Oakdale (1st VOL) @ 408, Vista Del Lago (1st CAL) @ 433, East Union (2nd VOL) 2 450, CBHS (2nd CAL) @ 465.  These two leagues are the dominant force on DIII women’s golf for the SJS section.  On that note the Falcons can hold their heads high.

I am grateful to all the players involved with CB’s golf, our future is bright, there is work ahead to do to transition to the very top level.  We are capable of making that leap and stepping up our game. If you see one of the players congratulate them, they are respected across golf in the section and they consistently do CB proud.” – Steven Barsanti
