New Video 90 Second Stories: Anna Mae, 92-Year-Old Lady Golfer

A new video story about Anna Mae Owyang a 92-year-old lady golfer at Bing Maloney who’s been golfing in Sacramento for over 50 years.

Time flies when you’re golfing! No one knows that better than Sacramento native Anna Mae. She lives right next to the 11th hole at Bing Maloney Golf Course and golfs weekly with her regulars at the Sacramento Chinese Women’s Club for the last 50 years. Learn a little bit about Anna Mae in this new 90 Second Story video.

Janet Vorwerck, Bing Maloney’s Women’s Ambassador, met Betty Wong Kearney who is the next longest member of the club, active 25 years, and told Janet about Anna Mae and her decades’ long membership. Anna Mae’s daughter Donna also plays in the club. Bonus facts not included in the video: Anna Mae and Donna sometimes hand out food at the 11th hole (so keep an eye out, Bing golfers!) and their group plays and travels to other golf courses locally and abroad. Anna Mae said she used to but can’t anymore since, you know, she’s 92 years old. However, she did get to visit the UK this past summer and got to go to the birthplace of golf: Scotland.

So watch this quick, 90-second story and find out a little more about Anna Mae and her golf favorites plus some advice gleaned from years of playing golf and having a great time!
