Growing the Game of Golf with the PGA of America

During the recent Haggin Oaks Golf Expo, Frank LaRosa from Golf to Go on ESPN 1320 interviewed Nikki Gatch with the PGA of America on the important topic of growing the game of golf and develop new players in this fabulous sport.

Golf is a fabulous and difficult sport. It is a game that you can play and enjoy for a lifetime! There are new initiatives to invite new golfers, including Get Golf Ready – a phenomenal new lesson program available at many local golf facilities where you can get 5 hours of golf instruction for around $100! If you don’t have clubs, equipment will be provided for you. For more information, check your local facility or go to www.GetGolfReady.com and find a local golf course near you!

The Haggin Oaks Golf Complex and Bing Maloney Golf Course both offer a wide range of Get Golf Ready classes that are geared around having fun while providing more one on one time with the golf coach for a deeper understanding of the short game and golf swing as well as how to prepare to play on the golf course.  Beginning golfers, infrequent golfers and former golfers are encouraged to be a part of this experience.
