Yeti Gear Now Available at Haggin Oaks

Yeti, featuring the toughest ice chests, soft coolers and drinkware, is now available at the Haggin Oaks Golf Super Shop

Are you familiar with the Yeti brand? They are known for making serious coolers for serious outdoor enthusiasts. Are you tired of the handles on your coolers breaking or your drinks getting warm much too quickly? I know that I was and I put the Yeti products to the test!

At the Haggin Oaks Golf Expo, I purchased three pieces – the 20 oz Rambler, the Hopper Two 30 and a four pound block of Yeti Ice. I’ve now had my gear for about six weeks and want to let you know what I think of it.

Yeti 20 oz Rambler Product Review

I’ll keep it simple. I love it! I adore it! I give this item my highest recommendation! 5 Stars! 10/10

Why am I so willing to gush over my new drinking cup? It keeps my drink cold. All. Day. Long. Seriously – I am talking HOURS! I’ll fill my Rambler with water out of the cooler first thing in the morning and at the end of the day, my drink is as cold as when I first filled it.

I was a quick believer in this cup. I brought it home on Saturday after working all day at the Haggin Oaks Golf Expo, filled it with some ice and water and went outside for a few hours to relax. After drinking my water, I brought my cup back in the house and set it on the counter. The next morning, I went refill it for my day and there was STILL ice in it. Ten hours later! I was quite impressed and now I don’t use anything else – ever!

I had it on my golf cart yesterday and my drink stayed chilled for the entire round. It is also very durable – I included pictures of my Rambler for this article. There isn’t a smear, smudge, dent or scratch on this thing. I am not overly hard on my cups, but I initially had concerns that my pretty “seafoam” rambler would look dirty quickly. As of now, this is simply not the case.

Yeti Hopper Two 30 Product Review

I primarily bought this cooler for my daughter’s all-day soccer tournaments. She is in her first year of competitive soccer and it is not uncommon for our family to now spend ten hours at a soccer field for all-day soccer “play days.” I was getting sick and tired of carting a full size ice chest with us everywhere, and I liked the shape, design and roominess of this cooler. I’ll admit that the price was a bit of a sticker shock, but the Yeti rep convinced me that I needed to give this a go!

There are a few different sizes of this cooler. I got the “Hopper Two 30” which is supposed to hold 24 cans and 30 pounds of ice. The ’30’ refers to how much ice it can hold. It has a tapered design and you get in and out of it with a zipper. This is a waterproof cooler that opens with a zipper! And I have tested it – several times – and nothing leaks out of this puppy!

The zipper takes some effort to open but it is understandable since it doesn’t leak. I love the handle which means we can haul it with us over the shoulder, carry it with the dual handles or tote it in our handy soccer cart. Everything stays insulated and cold and it is easy to get into and find what you are looking for.

I don’t have my photo of the Hopper Two 30 as I am writing this at work and my Hopper is at my house at the moment. This is a stock photo (but the picture of my daughter is real!)

Yeti Ice Product Review

The final item I purchased during Golf Expo was the four pound block of Yeti Ice. What’s so special about this ice? It is AMAZING! I add my block of ice (the four pound block takes about 18 hours to fully freeze) in the bottom of my Hopper and then dump a bunch of regular ice over the top. At the end of the day, I have ice (a LOT of ice) that has frozen to the Yeti Ice and everything in my Hopper Two 30 is still ice cold.

I honestly can’t even tell you how long this stuff stays frozen. I have to leave mine in the sink when I am done with it so all the extra ice can melt away from it before I can throw it back into the freezer. The Yeti rep told me that this stuff has a few different melting points, so it will help refreeze your ice initially and will stay cold longer. I have seen the proof of this. Regardless of what kind of cooler you use, Yeti Ice is far superior to the standard blue ice packs you are used to using.

The Haggin Oaks Golf Super Shop now carries a wide array of coolers, ramblers (my personal fave!) and Yeti Ice. The next time you come out to the shop, check it out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed in this exceptional product.
