It’s time once again to get to know your pro. This week we are asking David Stockly our 10 hard hitting questions.
David is a PGA Class A Professional with 15 years experience who is skilled at helping golfers of all ability levels improve their performance. A two-time PING Clubfitter of the Year, David is able to assist with all facets of the game: approach, mechanics, equipment, and maintaining a great attitude. His approach to teaching begins from the ground up. With the focus on a balanced, athletic swing and David’s friendly motivating style, the results will be increased consistency and solid golf shots.
Dave was an integral part of my 10 questions series, he helped shape the questionnaire in it’s very early stages.

B: If golf had a walkup song to the 1st tee, like in baseball, what would be yours and why?
D: Oooh, Right now it would have to be Jonathon Richmond. (Scrambles to find song on phone …) Since She Started to Ride. I’ve been swinging to it and it’s been working. I’ve been making a lot of birdies out on the course with this playing in my head.
B: First golf club you ever bought?
D: I was 12 years old when I bought a Mizuno Pro Persimmon Driver. It was $69.99.
B: Who taught you how to golf?
D: My Dad.
B: How many pairs of golf shoes do you own?
D: (starts counting on fingers)…. 6 pair.
B: Lowest round ever shot?
D: 64 (-8 under)
B: What is your least favorite thing to do on a golf course?
D: Hit three off the tee – it actually just happened!
B: Favorite Golfers?
D: Seve Ballesteros, Greg Norman, Tiger Woods and Nick Faldo
B: Favorite Course to Play?
D: Ancil Hoffman
B: Who’s swing would you like to have and why?
D: Jason Day. He has so much power, it’s awesome.
B: Favorite Club in Your Bag?
D: 9-Iron
Bonus Question: If you weren’t a golf pro, what you you be doing for a living?
D: I’d own a deli. Yep, deli owner.
