PGA Hope Captain’s Cup 2025 Champions

By Suzy Schneider

The PGA HOPE Captain’s Cup is a friendly competition among the captains from over thirty different PGA HOPE Play Day sites. Captains from Play Days form their own team to represent their golf site. The purpose is to meet and network with other PGA HOPE members from other sites. More importantly, to build and foster “unit cohesion” and pride with the Play Day sites.

The idea belonged to Chris Paulsen, which became a reality in 2023, where the first Captain’s Cup was held at Metropolitan Golf Links in Oakland. The team representing Mariners Point Golf Center won in 2023, and then they hosted the tournament in 2024 at Moffet Field Golf Course, where the team from Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course won. The Captain’s Cup was contested at Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course on November 24th, 2025, and was won by the team from the Friday PGA HOPE Play Days at Haggin Oaks.

The perpetual trophy is now proudly on display inside the MacKenzie Sports Bar and Grille at Haggin Oaks. The bragging rights that go along with each year’s winners are priceless!
A fun time was had by all!
