New Panini Maker at Haggin Oaks‏

MacKenzie’s Sports Bar & Grille at Haggin Oaks just got a new panini maker and the team has been hard at work creating some new sandwich options that I definitely think you should come in and try soon.

I dropped by the restaurant recently and tried the new roast beef and bleu cheese panini for myself.  The sandwich was full of bleu cheese (a personal favorite of mine) and the pickled red onions added a delicious contrast in flavors. The bread was perfect. Seriously – the sandwich was delicious and I look forward to ordering it again on a return visit.
My lunch companion tried the California Turkey panini and he says it was, “Outstanding!”  I tried a bite and it had a lot of bacon in it. I would say the turkey and bacon were represented in equal amounts so if you are a bacon lover, then you’ll want to taste this one for sure! The avocado was perfectly ripe and this one reminded me of a souped up BLT with turkey added.
On the way out, we ran into Chef Blanca who made us promise to try the Elvis Panini when we come in again – chocolate, bananas and peanut butter all melted together? Hmmmm… you won’t need to twist my arm to make that happen!

Here’s the current new panini options… Stay tuned, because Chef Blanca is promising a revolving menu of choices over time.
