Mizuno USA, the global leader in iron performance, has once again left an indelible mark on Golf Digest’s annual Hot List, but this year, it didn’t end there. Golf World, the magazine’s sister publication, issued its own 2014 Players Hot List, focused solely on equipment designed for more-skilled players and judged by a panel of such. In total, Mizuno earned an unparalleled eight gold medals for “game-improvement,” “super game-improvement” and “players” irons categories, across both versions of the prestigious annual equipment guide.

Mizuno_JPX_2Mizuno introduced its JPX line of game-improvement irons in 2011, with a clear-cut mission to solidify the same superior position it holds in forged player irons, for its cast game-improvement irons. The results of this year’s Golf Digest and Golf World Hot Lists illustrate in grand fashion that this important mission is clearly being accomplished.

This is the third straight year Mizuno has earned gold status for the superior design and performance of its JPX game-improvement irons in Golf Digest’s Hot List, this year for the 2014 iron release of the JPX EZ and JPX EZ Forged, along with the MP-H4 line. The JPX EZ line promises the largest sweet spot in golf, and clearly from the Hot List results, that’s not an exaggeration. Long known for producing the world’s finest forged irons, Mizuno’s player’s irons certainly weren’t outshined, with the MP-54 and MP-64 lines earning gold medals across both Golf Digest and Golf World Hot Lists, and the MP-4 irons earning gold in Golf World’s Players Hot List.

“We’ve typically had strong success over the years with the Hot List, but this year is special because it reinforces our expertise in the game-improvement category,” said Chuck Couch, VP of Product Management, Golf Division, Mizuno USA. “Our R&D team raised their game to another level with the JPX EZ, producing the largest sweet spot in golf and providing high handicappers the confidence to make the game easier than ever. We aimed to deliver superior irons to golfers at every level, and recognition like this certainly validates that.”
