LPGA Commissioner Michael Whan Grants Alexis Thompson Age Exemption

In a move that is VERY good for the LPGA in my opinion, LPGA Commissioner Michael Whan has granted Alexis Thompson an age exemption to play on the LPGA Tour.

This is a good move for the LPGA, because Alexis is going to add a breath of fresh air to ladies golf with her exuberant style, serious talent and the tremendous buzz she’ll bring to the game.

Thompson recently became the youngest player to ever win on the LPGA Tour when she won the Navistar LPGA Classic a couple of weeks ago.

A lot is going to rest on this young player’s shoulders and a lot of eyes are going to be focused on her in the future. I look forward to cheering her on in 2012! Congratulations, Alexis!
