Haggin Oaks Golf Complex is Fifth U.S. Driving Range to Install Power Tee Self-Teeing System

The Haggin Oaks Golf Complex, which already boasts one of America’s Top 100 Driving Ranges by Range Magazine, has made another significant addition to their range with the installation of Power Tee, a self-teeing system which is one of the most productive and enjoyable practice aids available to a golfer on today’s ranges.

The Power Tee system works by pouring the golfer’s bucket of balls in an underground holding container. After adjusting tee height, a ball pops out of the hole in the mat and tees the ball automatically. After a shot, the tee disappears into a hole and reappears seconds later with another ball.

Head golf professional, Mike Woods, PGA, explains, “We’re very excited to unveil this new technology to Sacramento area golfers. The Power Tee system makes practicing easier and quicker for golfers of all ages and abilities. It also helps players become more consistent with stance and posture and lessens strain on backs and joints. Golfers who have used it tell me it’s really a lot of fun.”

According to Woods, Haggin Oaks is only the fifth installation in the United States but it is found at the best practice facilities in the world including St Andrews, the Belfry, Wentworth Club, the superb Dromoland Castle in Ireland, and another 200 quality driving ranges around the UK and southern Ireland.

Recent additions to the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex Driving Range include 20,000 square feet of synthetic turf on five state-of-the-art raised target greens. The realistic targets feature Players Turf synthetic grass products, famous for the longest and softest fibers in the industry which are important for appearance, realism, and product longevity. Specialized quartz under the greens resists compacting for realistic reaction and shots that hold the green.

The target greens are strategically located at 75, 100, 150, 175 and 200 yards on the range and are listed to exact yardage at each hitting station.

The Haggin Oaks night-lighted driving range and learning center consists of 100 hitting stalls. It is open 24-hours a day from May 1 through September 30, and varying hours during the winter months. A rechargeable Frequent User Bonus Card Program is available for the rental of range balls. The larger the purchase, the more discount is applied at the cashier.
