First Sacramento US Kids Tour Event of 2021 Shows Off Deep Field & Low Scores

U.S. Kids Golf Local Tours are created to provide boys and girls, ages 5 to 18, the opportunity to advance their skills in the game in age-appropriate competition without having to take the time and incur the costs of having to travel long distances. Local Tours consists of between six and eight one-day tournaments including a season-ending one-day Local Tour Championship. Players earn awards and points for each tournament and locally here in Sacramento, our First Tee of Greater Sacramento facilitates several tour events throughout the year.

The first event of the 2021 season was held at the Wildhawk GC here in Sacramento on 2/28 and the scores were blistering across the Par 72/36 track (depending on age group.)

Alaythia Hinds of Ranch Murieta took first place honors in the Girls 13-14 age group with a 74. Paavni Behl from El Dorado Hills won the girls 11-12 age group also with a 74. Perhaps the best round of golf of the day came from young Anita Lumpongpoung from Thailand who shot an amazing score of 30 in the Girls 9-10 age. Vaanya Behl from Sacramento rounded out the girls wins with a 38 in the 8 and under category.

On the boys side, Casey Kosney of Elk Grove fired 77 and won the Boys 13-14 age division. Folsom’s Reid Bulman shot a one-under 71 to take the Boys 12-year-old division. Ripon’s Cru Sullivan fired a 73 to tie with Rancho Cordova’s Sudhmaamsuram Parvataneni and West Sacramento’s Tanner Solis in the 11-year-old division. El Dorado Hills Cooper Westphal fired a 2-under 34 to take the ten-year-old division. Nathaniel Dutra came all the way from Reno to shoot 37 and take the nine-year-old age group. At just eight years old, Raiden Orille from Elk Grove won his age group with an even par 36. El Dorado Hills’ Cole Vieira fired a one-over par 37 to take the Boys age 7 division. And last but not least, Legend Jones from Rancho Murieta (does he sound like a future PGA Tour star or what?) won his 6 & Under division with a +8 44.
