Fall into Comfort at MacKenzie’s Sports Bar and Grille

MacKenzie’s Sports Bar & Grille is serving up a tasty trio of limited time specials in the restaurant in November.

I love November! To me, November represents the official start of the holiday season. I know stores are constantly trying to push the envelope with Christmas by putting out seasonal merchandise earlier and earlier with each passing year, but I always hold out until I flip the calendar from October to November. November represents cozy fires, hot cocoa and turkey… I love turkey!

I am very excited about this month’s specials at the MacKenzie’s Sports Bar and Grille, because I had the opportunity to sample each dish last month when we did the photo shoot for November’s food specials. You are in for some spectacular treats this month!

To start your day off right, try the Open Face Breakfast Sandwich. Oh my, this was so good! It features scrambled eggs, bacon, cheese and veggies (avocado and spinach) on a toasted English muffin. It is served with a side of fresh fruit. It is light, refreshing and delicious!

For lunch, you have two unique choices, the Fall Harvest Salad or the Turkey, Brie and Pear Sandwich at MacKenzie’s Sports Bar & Grille. Both options are unique and different.

The Fall Harvest Salad features mixed greens, wild rice, roasted butternut squash, Brussel sprouts, Fuji apples, blue cheese crumbles, candied walnuts and cranberries. It is topped with a citrus marinated chicken. I’ll admit it, I wasn’t too sure about this salad when I first saw it. It is displayed beautifully, but the mixture of toppings included many that I had never considered for a salad. However, one bite and I was a firm believer in the addition of everything included in this masterful creation. The combination of flavors is more than satifying, it is exquisite. I will definitely be ordering this throughout the month of November… and you should too!

I had no doubts about the Turkey, Brie and Pear Sandwich. This is a new twist on one of my favorite sandwiches that Chef Blanca sometimes whips up on the Daily Special board. This sandwich is created from roasted turkey breast, brie, cranberry aioli, spinach and thinly sliced pears. It is served on a Muslim bread and includes sweet potato fries as a side. This sandwich is divine. I tried it for the first time on the Muslim bread and this bread choice elevates the sandwich to yet another level. Superb!

Hurry into MacKenzie’s Sports Bar and Grille before the end of the month. These specials will only be available in November and you don’t want to miss them!
