Vista Del Lago & Reese Sato Take 2022 Capital Athletic League Tournament at Haggin Oaks

On Monday, April 25th, out at the Alister MacKenzie Golf Course at Haggin Oaks, all five boys golf teams from the Capital Athletic League played their heart out in their big league tournament. With beautiful skies and mid-70’s temperatures, Vista Del Lago High School in Folsom took home the honors with a score of 383 led by four scores in the 70’s. Reese Sato fired a two over par 74 to be medalist in the event and was followed by teammates Marcus Long (75), Ish Sodhi (75), Nicholes Le (78) and Ethan Huff (81) for an overall score of 383.

Rio Americano finished second at 415 led by Ryan Calcagno’s 78 and Christian Brothers another stroke back at 416 led by Joaquin Almeida’s 78. In fourth place was Del Campo, fifth place was Capital Christian and El Camino pulled in sixth place.

The Capital Athletic League is a member of the Sac-Joaquin Section of the California Interscholastic Federation where they pride themselves on the place, “Where academics, athletic excellence, and sportsmanship thrive.”
