William Land Golf Course’s annual Meet Santa event brings the holiday cheer early for good girls and boys
Santa is no stranger to William Land Golf Course! Every year, WLGC hosts ol’ jolly Saint Nick for an evening of holiday cheer, family-friendly activities, and community support. This year, the course teamed up with the Land Park Community Association to bring Santa to the course last Thursday on December 4th.

That evening, families stopped by the cart barn to meet the big man himself. One by one, all the kids sat in a golf cart with Santa to tell him what they wanted for Christmas and take pictures. Santa even had some helpers with him to give the kids free putters after their chats!

Meeting Santa wasn’t the only thing to do that evening. Several arts and crafts stations were set up for the little ones to color and create their own ornaments. Despite the chilly weather, families gathered on the practice green for kids to play with their brand new putters. Mulligan’s Cafe employees passed out hot cocoa and free food to everyone in attendance. The Sacramento Fire Department and Police Department even joined the festivities, complete with fire trucks and cop cars for the kids and families to take photos in.

Finally, the evening was also a chance for the community to come together and support those in need. The Land Park Community Association was accepting donations for the Sacramento Sheriff’s Toy Project. This annual program helps kids in crisis by giving them a cuddly friend when they are involved in a PD encounter. By the end of the evening, the donation box was overflowing with toys!
Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the holiday season. Happy holidays and we look forward to hosting this event again next year!
