Donation Request for Children Impacted from the Camp Fire

On Sunday, December 2, 2018, a “POP UP” donation drive will be held at Haggin Oaks. Items requested include toys, clothing, and Christmas decorations to provide joy to some of the children affected by the Camp Fire in Paradise.

Join Misty Bias from The Tackle Box in Chico (Facebook: Tackle Box Chico and tackleboxchico.com) and Kathleen McNabb from Ernest Packaging Solutions and one of the mentors at Haggin Oaks for Linda Reid’s women’s play groups on Sunday, December 2, 2018, at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex.

Misty manages preparation and distributing of the lunches for the CDF Fire Fighters on the fire line at The Tackle Box in Chico. Through her volunteer work with the evacuees, Misty helped to create a list of children in need of some Christmas/Holiday Cheer. Their requests are not much, and for most of these families, they have lost everything. Anything we can do to help provide some holiday cheer for these children is more than what they currently are expecting or have.

The list is small in comparison to those in need, and there are certainly more children than listed. We wanted to ensure success and not be in a position of overpromising, so we have kept the list to a manageable one. Don’t hesitate to donate more, all donations will find a home in the hands of a deserving child.

Our “POP UP” donation location will be at Haggin Oaks Golf Course, located at 3645 Fulton Ave, Sacramento CA, in the outer most corner of the parking lot, across from the Jeep dealership on Sunday, December 2 from 10 am – 2 pm. If you are not able to stop by on Sunday, other arrangements can be made for a pick up by calling Misty at 530-774-8820.

New, unused Christmas gifts, new clothes, gift cards and any other items can be donated. Christmas decorations can be new or gently used. The gifts can be wrapped or unwrapped, and they can be designated to a specific child in need, or just to any child in need.
