The Grind to Par Starts with Toptracer on the Haggin Oaks Driving Range

Local vlogger @thegrindtopar Arnold Aguilar practices with Toptracer on his journey to making par

When the world shut down back in 2020, golf received a major surge in popularity. With most social activities closed, golf courses were one of the few places still open to socialize and exercise. Many people picked up a club because it was one of the few things they could do and quickly fell in love with the game. Meet one such golfer Arnold Aguilar, better known as @thegrindtopar on Instagram.

Arnold thought golf was going to be easy—it’s just swinging a club and hitting a ball, right? Arnold found out golf was a little harder than that, but it was too late. He was already hooked. He signed up for some lessons at Haggin Oaks and began hitting the driving range to practice, working towards his first goal of breaking 100. Arnold wanted to share the highs and lows of this process with others, and @thegrindtopar was born.

When Toptracer Range came to Haggin Oaks Driving Range, Arnold found it to be a huge boost to his practice sessions. Using the My Practice mode, he’s gained a better understanding of his club distances, the ability to reproduce shots on the range out on the course, and identify areas that need improvement. But the best thing Arnold likes about Toptracer is that it makes golf enjoyable for anyone—whether you’re someone trying to improve your game or someone just trying to have fun, Toptracer has something to offer everyone.

Earlier this year, Arnold finally beat his goal of breaking 100! Now, his current goal is to break 90 and Toptracer is going to help him. Make sure to follow @thegrindtopar on Instagram! If you see Arnold at the range, say hello! He’s always happy to meet other golfers and work on improving your games together.

It’s a grind, but remember—you just have to get 1% better everyday.
