Bing Maloney’s Drainage Project is a Success

The drainage project was put to its first test this week and has passed!

When’s a better day to talk about drainage than during our first rainy days of the winter? As you know, the winter of 2017 brought about unexpected course closures with old drainage pipes that weren’t able to move the water fast enough off the golf course. This summer, we replaced the drainage pipe on the Championship 18 Golf Course, and it’s been a major success!

We’ve just had a few days of rain this winter which has been a great test of our new system. It’s removed rain and groundwater off the course faster than ever before. An 18” pipe has been installed that will transfer water from the golf course and out to the pump on hole #5 to remove it from the course. We are happy to report that we don’t foresee any course closures this winter 2018.

The pipe was installed across holes 2, 4, 6, 7, and 8. It basically traversed the entire front nine of the Championship 18 Golf Course at Bing Maloney and went through the areas that had the hardest impact from the rains in the winter of 2017.

Thank you to all of our valued customers that have supported us as we continue to improve the conditions and overall experience for you at Bing Maloney.
