Congratulations to Austin Smotherman, the 2025 Memorial Health Championship presented by LRS Champion.

Austin Smotherman delivered a standout performance on Sunday, riding the momentum of an eagle on the 12th hole and a birdie on the 13th to surge into the lead. He held his nerve and sealed the win with a crucial birdie on the 16th, edging out Alvaro Ortiz when Ortiz’s birdie bid on 18 came up short.
This marks Smotherman’s second triumph in as many weeks and propels him to the top of the Korn Ferry Tour points standings—from fourth to first. With this surge, he’s in excellent shape to reclaim his PGA Tour card—either by maintaining a spot in the top 20 or by clinching a third win this season.
Hometown Hero — Sacramento & Morton Golf Legacy
A Northern California native, Smotherman grew up in the Greater Sacramento area—born in Fair Oaks and raised in Loomis—and honed his game through the First Tee of Greater Sacramento, practicing at Haggin Oaks and earning scholarships via the Morton Golf Foundation. In 2012, he earned a Morton Golf Foundation scholarship before going on to star at Del Oro High School and later at SMU. His longstanding ties to that community have made him a hometown favorite.
Congratulations, Austin on an outstanding win! We look forward to cheering you on in the future.
