Mark Maurer is the new Director of Food & Beverage
Mark Maurer is a positive addition hired on July 10th, 2023, as Director of Food & Beverage for Haggin Oaks Golf Complex.
His background is in Hospitality Management and he has enjoyed working with both independent and branded hotels and Golf Clubs. He has had the pleasure of working with Marriott International for 24 years.
Growing up, he was a golf club brat, as his golfing parents have belonged to golf clubs as far back as he can remember. He had the opportunity to play golf for 35 years before his surgeon advised him to find another social activity! Those pesky back surgeries will do that to a player!
While his father would share with us that the lessons he received went in one ear and out the other, they did have a favorable impact on his short game. Long game, he spent many of his tee shots in adjoining fairways!
The highlight of his married life has been relocating to Sacramento and living within proximity to their son and his family, with special emphasis on their 2 grandkids.
Travel continues to be a big part of his and his wife’s lives. With the core of their respective families being on the West Coast and East Coast, they do their best to find balance in remaining close to their loved ones.
BIG Welcome to Mark as his talents will continue on with operations in the Food & Beverage department with everyone at Haggin Oaks.
