The 89th California State Fair Championship at Haggin Oaks

California State Fair Championship156 of the best amateur golfers in the west will be competing in this 54-hole stroke play competition on the Alister MacKenzie Golf Course at Haggin Oaks.

This is your chance to see future PGA Tour Players before they become stars on the Tour! Defending California State Fair Champion, Brandon Hagy, will be back as he tries to defend his title.

Spectators are welcome to come out to the course and it is free to watch the tournament. Golf carts will also be available for spectator rental.

U.S. Open qualifier and California State Amateur Champion, Cory McElyea is definitely a name to watch this year. Other names to look for on the leaderboard include Joël Stalter who is a starter for Cal – the No. 1 men’s golf team in California. Cameron Champ is ranked nationally in the top 20 by GolfWeek as a junior and has his eyes on the Championship as does Oakmont High Junior Corey Eddings who just came off his recent wins at the State Fair Junior last week and the U.S. Junior Amateur Championship last month.

Tee times run on Saturday and Sunday from 7am to 1:30pm and Monday’s final round, has tee times that run from 7 until 9am.

Past champions of the California State Fair Championship include Kevin Sutherland, Ken Venturi, George Archer and Al Geiberger.
