PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) has been an amazing program for veterans. Offering them a pathway to improved physical, mental, social, and emotional well-being through the game of golf. Now, building upon the success of PGA HOPE, comes an exciting new initiative: PGA HOPE 2.0. Both PGA HOPE programs are offered at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex. We could not be prouder to partner with such an amazing program.

PGA HOPE 2.0

PGA HOPE 2.0 is a new program that represents the next evolution in golf education for veterans. This program provides a platform for graduates of the original PGA HOPE program to further refine their golfing skills. Spearheaded by Bob Epperly, PGA, PGA HOPE 2.0 is designed to offer more advanced instruction and support to veterans who have already completed the initial curriculum.

PGA HOPE 2.0 aims to deepen veterans’ understanding of the game while honing their techniques on the course. Unlike the introductory nature of PGA HOPE, 2.0 dives into advanced concepts. Such as mastering tee shots, improving bunker play, and perfecting short game strategies. Facilitated by PGA Professionals, this program brings a wealth of expertise and creativity to their instruction.

One of the distinguishing features of this new program is its hands-on approach to teaching. Veterans enrolled in the program receive attention from seasoned PGA instructors like Will Karnofsky. They aim to work closely with each participant to refine their form and improve their green performance. Through coaching and targeted feedback, veterans can experience tangible improvements in their golfing abilities within the span of each 2-hour class.

While PGA HOPE remains free of charge for veterans, the new 2.0 program will cost a small fee to help ensure the sustainability of the program. This financial model, supported by contributions from participants and organizations like the NCPGA Foundation, allows PGA HOPE 2.0 to continue delivering high-quality instruction and resources to veterans.

Supporting Veterans Through PGA HOPE

Beyond the technical aspects of golf, PGA HOPE fosters a sense of camaraderie and community among it’s participants. Bringing together veterans who share a passion for the game, the program creates an environment where friendships can flourish and new support networks can thrive. Through regular interaction both on and off the course, veterans can forge lasting bonds that extend far beyond their golfing experiences.

For veterans seeking to get into golf or improve their golfing skills and join a supportive community of peers, PGA HOPE is here. Offering a unique opportunity only available to veterans. Whether you’re a seasoned golfer or new to the game, this program invites you to join.
