First Tee Funvitational – 32nd Annual Jr/Sr Event

92 Senior and Junior Golfers Turned Out For A Fun Day On The Course

The Funvitational is an annual event put on each year by First Tee Sacramento. This year was the 32nd iteration of the event and it was hosted at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex on the Alister Mackenzie Course.

The main attraction this year could be found on the tee of hole 17. On hole 17, Launching Fore Charity had a cannon that would blast each golfer’s ball down the fairway. Each participant gave a donation for the cannon to shoot your golf ball further than the eye can see. Where else can you brag that your drive flew 450 yards?!

Who Is First Tee & Why They Put on the Funvitational

First Tee is a non-profit youth development organization that enables kids to build the strength of character that empowers them through a lifetime of new challenges. By seamlessly integrating the game of golf with a life skills curriculum, they create active learning experiences that build inner strength, self-confidence, and resilience that kids can carry to everything they do. Their Junior Golf Programs instill fundamental character traits and life skills in youth golfers.

The Funvitational gives an opportunity for their junior golfers to shine even when playing among senior golfers. In addition to being a fun showcase for their junior golfers, the funvitational raises funds that allow First Tee to lead youth development programs.
