Tom Triplett

Tom Triplett has been involved in or has played the game of golf for over 55 years.  He credits two people for building his interest in the game, his Dad and a driving range professional in San Rafael who taught Tom how to play the game.

Since the 90’s, Tom has been a member of the Northern California Golf Association (NCGA) and has held several positions.  During that time, he also spent several years as a course rater in the Marin County area.  He just celebrated his fifth year as a Tournament Official in the Sacramento area. Tom began his coaching career in the late 90’s, serving as the golf coach for the San Rafael High School Golf team for four years.

For the past four years, Tom has been a golf coach for The Northern California Institute of Golf. Tom has taught the New 2 Golf course as well as all of the Get Golf Ready series of classes.  His goal in coaching is to take the myth out of the game and the golf swing.  Tom strongly believes in simplifying the swing for all players.  His mantra is, “Take the club back, bring the club forward.”
