Golf has provided exceptional opportunities for Linda Reid that were never planned. By chance, she became involved with the LPGA Amateur (formerly EWGA) and over the last 18 years has held almost every Board position with that organization. That involvement led to a Board of Director position with The First Tee of Greater Sacramento and an opportunity to play and review amazing golf courses across the U.S. while writing for Golf Digest magazine.
In 2017 Linda joined the staff of Morton Golf as the Women’s Golf Ambassador and built a team of 17 volunteer mentors who play with the new, newer, and returning women golfers to help them transition from lessons and classes to actually playing on a golf course. Her passion to share the game has touched more than 500 women who play in the weekly leagues. The goal is to teach every golfer the nuances of the game, along with the rules, so they will feel comfortable playing with anyone – on any golf course.
