Chris Staples, Director of Youth, Family & Adaptive Golf – Haggin Oaks Golf Complex

Growing up in Los Angeles as an elite junior and collegiate player, Chris would have never dreamed of having the opportunity to serve a community and grow the game in this manner. He also was blessed with the opportunity to receive caddy experience at Bel Air Country Club and the PGA Champions Tour. Within the last 3 years, he gained First Assistant Professional experience at Medford Lakes Country Club, where he coached and mentored some of the top juniors at the club. Chris believes the best ways to grow an environment are to be relatable and accessible.

He is currently enrolled in a PGM program and on his way to earning his Class A certification. Prior to his role there, he had extensive experience in golf and technology retail management. In his time at Roger Dunn Golf, he became adept at club repair and had even worked on clubs for PGA Tour players as they came in town for the Northern Trust Open. Working his way up the ranks to the manager gave him the opportunity to learn the practices and policies and implement a servitude atmosphere.

Chris is currently assisting several foundations which include the Pinkney Foundation (African American Tour Quest) and the Steve and Marjorie Foundation.

As the spouse to an active-duty Navy officer, he has supported her responsibilities as a recruiter stationed in major cities in the U.S. The many years of servitude I believe have equipped me for an opportunity such as this.
