Matt Young’s FREE Video Golf Lesson Focuses On Your Short Game and Clocking Your Distances

Matt Young is a Teaching Professional at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex in Sacramento. Call 916-808-2531 to schedule a lesson or to be fit with your next set of irons in our Player Performance Studio. Matt shares this video lesson tip to help you improve your golf game from 100 yards and in.

When practicing your game, Matt recommends that you get in the habit of “clocking your distances” to determine how far back you need to bring the wedge to make each distance shot. Pick targets that at predetermined distances (50 yards, 75 yards, etc.) and experiment with your stroke. This video and Matt’s advice will help you with your approach shots in the future. And with a little practice, you will find yourself more comfortable, more consistent and more confident when selecting which wedge to pull out of your golf bag from 100 yards in.
