Employee Spotlight: Dick McShane

Dick McShane started his golf career at Haggin Oaks on September 14th, 1981. He has been a huge influence with juniors, adults, and seniors.

In 1984, Dick McShane along with Susan Abrams started a program at Haggin Oaks called California Eagles. The program consists of junior and adults with disabilities and is still going strong today. More than 1,000 California Eagles Athletes have gone through this program.

When Dick started in 1981, he was very interested in finding out what the Top Golf Professionals were teaching. He has worked with over 75 of the Top 100 Teachers including Butch Harman.

In 1992, Dick started a singles & couples tournament group playing golf courses around Northern California until 2020.

Today, Dick still teaches lessons and can be seen on the course playing the game and consistently shooting his age.

Let’s salute Dick for the last 40 years with more to come.
