Augusta National Golf Club Admits Its First Female Members

Augusta National Golf Club announced on Monday, August 20th, that it was finally ending its 80-year reign as a male-only golf club. The first two female members are former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and South Carolina financier Darla Moore.

Is this a monumental move forward in civil liberty or a victory in the rights for women or is Augusta simply acknowledging that we are in the 21st century and this is a change in policy that is long overdue? I’ll let you decide.
