City of Sacramento Golf Courses: 2021 Capital Improvement Projects

Did you know that the dollars you are spending here at the City of Sacramento Golf Courses are being re-invested back into the city courses to create a better experience?

With increased traffic to all City of Sacramento Golf Courses over the course of 2020, the City of Sacramento and course management company Morton Golf LLC. are investing over $2 million dollars back into the courses to improve the courses and the customer experience. Morton Golf LLC. Below is an overview of the planned improvements across the 4 city courses. These are additional improvements beyond the consistent maintenance at each course.

Haggin Oaks Golf Complex

A new Catering Kitchen is being built near the HOGC Pavilion for banquets and special events. This will allow HOGC to offer more robust and efficient catering services the all special events and banquets held at the facility.

Rest Room Improvements will be made this summer alternately fixing the men’s and women’s restroom to allow patrons to utilize the facility while the improvements are being made.

The MacKenzie Patio Project will be completed this summer offering more seating options to patrons of the course and Mackenzie’s Sports Bar and Grille.

Expanded covered seating for all patron’s and guests of the HOGC Driving Range.

Refrigerator & Freezer for Driving Range will be installed. This will allow us to expand The Hangout Food Truck’s menu and add more food and beverage options!

Equipment Wash Rack Replacement used for cart clean up will be updated to use recycled water.

Over-seeding the Driving Range is an ongoing project. The outer rim of the driving range already has been started and will be complete this year.

HVAC System installation in the Player Performance Studio.

More Security has been added already this year and the course will have nearly 24 hour security with two security guards at night.

Replace Chairs and Tables in Mackenzie Sports Bar and Grille.

Top Tracer is currently being added and is projected to be ready at the end of May 2021, providing a unique one of a kind golf experience for all Driving Range guests!

Bing Maloney Golf Complex

Women’s Rest Room repair and updating.

Painting the clubhouse, fry rot repair, replace irrigation system on range & slurry seal the parking lot.

Complete Floor Project in Restaurant in the back area of the kitchen and bar.

Replace the roll down maintenance door to increase security of maintenance equipment.

Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Complex

Remodel Restaurant with new name, signage, and more taps!

Replace make up air unit.

Course Lake clean up and maintenance

HVAC unit will be added to the Pro Shop.

Repave Parking Lot north of restaurant.

Install a pump house cover.

William Land Golf Complex

Install Path on #2 Tee and repair tee boxes on holes #3, #4, #5.

Replace carpet in the Pro Shop.

Replace dishwasher in the restaurant.
