Blast from the Past: Golf Lesson Tip from Tom LoPresti

From 1967, a golf tip from our original head, Tom LoPresti, that appeared in The Sacramento Union.  Tom LoPresti won the 1962 National PGA Pro of the Year Award and was the head PGA golf professional at the Haggin Oaks Golf Course for 62 years – from 1932-1994.

“Think Swing,”

“Especially on the backswing!  If one swings the club back with hands, arms and body… coordinating as a one piece action, it is much simpler to swing through the ball on the downswing. Do not think of hitting the ball – the hit is the result of proper swinging!”
