ACADEMY HOLES

During the renovation of the Alister MacKenzie Golf Course, the City of Sacramento created three par three golf holes at the west end of the driving range that were used as auxillary holes during construction.  After the Alister MacKenzie Golf Course renovation was completed, these three auxillary holes were made into permanent Academy Holes that are now used primarily for golf instruction purposes.  These Academy Holes enable our golf coaches to provide golf lessons in the same environment that a golfer encounters when he or she plays on the course.  We encourage you to ask to use these holes during your golf lesson – especially if you need help with your short game. 

The Academy Holes may also be used for practice, just call 916-808-2531 to rent one of the holes to practice from 50 yards and in.
