The Sacramento City Men’s Golf Championship is the oldest tournament in Sacramento for top tier amateur golfers and it is coming to Haggin Oaks June 17-18, 2017
Join the best of the best! The top men’s amateur golfers will compete in the Sacramento City Men’s Championship on the MacKenzie Golf Course on June 17 – 18, 2017 at Haggin Oaks. This tournament is open to all male amateur golfers with a current USGA Index of 3 or less.

This is a NCGA point event and the Sacramento City Men’s Championship is one of three qualifying sites for the State Fair Championship (to be played September 1-3, 2017).
NCGA Points will be awarded: 150 pts – 1st Place; 100 pts – 2nd; 75 pts – 3rd; 60 pts – 4th; 50 pts– 5th; 40 pts – 6th; 30 pts – 7th; 25 pts – 8th; 20-pts – 9th; 15-pts – 10th-15th; 10-pts – 16th – 20th; 5-pts – 21st – 25th

This is a Stroke Play event over 36 holes with a maximum field of 108 players. Players will tee off in threesomes. The Sacramento City Men’s Golf Championship will be conducted on the MacKenzie Golf Course at the Haggin Oaks Complex, and the tournament will consist of 18 holes each day Saturday and Sunday June 17 and 18, 2017. Sunday pairings will be based on Saturday scores, with the leaders competing at the end of the field.
Awards: The player with the 36-hole low score will be declared the 2017 Sacramento City Men’s Amateur Champion. His name will be inscribed on the perpetual trophy and he will receive a crystal to take home. The awards presentation will immediately follow play at the large tournament scoreboard. Approximately 25% of the field will be awarded with merchandise certificates. All merchandise certificates are redeemable at either Haggin Oaks, Bing Maloney or Bartley Cavanaugh golf shops.
