“Keeping the Traditions of the Game”
Marcus was born and raised in England, learning to play golf starting at the age of 15. He earned a Bachelors Degree in Actuarial Science, but ended up choosing a career as a golf professional.
Marcus came to the United Sates in 1999 when he expanded a British Golf Market Research Company, creating its first international office. In March of 2002, he joined the Haggin Oaks Team and passed the PGA of America Player Ability Test.
Via the PGA of America s apprentice program, Marcus became a Class A PGA Member in January 2010, making him a member of an elite group of skilled professionals dedicated to the game of golf. In March 2010 Marcus passed the PGA of America ‘s PGA Certified course, making him one of only 637 PGA Certified Professionals in the nation and one of only 39 in the State of California.
Marcus is a very bright man with all the tools to become whatever he desires to be in the golf business. He is very popular and has quickly built a strong clientele of students. He strongly believes that everyone has their own individual swing because there is not a “Cookie Cutter Approach ” to learning the game of golf. He works hard to get to know his students so he is able to help them achieve success as quickly as possible.
As well as swing analysis, Marcus also teaches:
- Tradition: Etiquette and rules are valuable tools for the beginning and advanced golfer. They will strengthen your knowledge of the game, as well as earn the respect of your foursome.
- Mental Awareness: His calm demeanor will help you with the challenging aspect of conquering the mental side of the game.
His philosophy is to make the learning experience of golf fun while still holding the sacred traditions of this great game.
