Volvik Launches The DS-77 Hole-In-One Challenge

Volvik has launched the DS-77 Hole-in-One Challenge, a contest that offers to pay golfers $500 for making a hole-in one with their DS-77 golf ball.

Volvik_Hole_In_One_ChallengeThe Volvik DS-77 Hole-in-One Challenge began September 15, 2014 and goes until June 30, 2015 or until or such time as all 50 hole-in-ones are confirmed through the official contest rules.

“To our knowledge this is the first time a manufacturer has rolled out a contest that rewards the golfer for making a hole-in-one with their equipment,” said Jon Claffey, National Director of Sales and Marketing for Volvik USA. “The idea came to us after we saw the how many hole-in-one reports we were seeing with Volvik golf balls. We were getting two or three reports of hole-in-ones being made with Volvik golf balls almost every week. We realized we have the perfect hole-in-one ball with the DS-77 and we wanted to reward all the golfers making a hole-in-one with our product.”

Participants who want to partake in the contest must pre-register at volvik.com/hole-in-one before they start attempting to make their hole-in-one. They will have multiple attempts to win as every Par 3 provides a new opportunity to win. The Par 3 must be 95 yards or longer in length and must be hit from the tee into the hole with one stroke with no repeat strokes on the same hole. The DS-77 Hole-in-One Challenge contest is not valid in Rhode Island or New York. So register online now and then come into the Haggin Oaks Golf Super Shop and pick up your Volvik DS-77 golf balls or click HERE to order them online at www.MortonGolfSales.com and get FREE shipping if your order totals $50 or more!

Golfers must make the ace with the DS-77, the Dual Spin Extreme Distance Ball that spins less off the tee shot and spins more around the greens, increasing the probability of a hole-in-one due to its unique properties. There is no purchase necessary of the DS-77 for the DS-77 Hole-in-One Challenge, but it must be the ball in play for the hole-in-one.

After the hole-in-one is made and a picture is taken of the happy golfer with the ball, the winner will come back to Volvik.com/Hole-in-One and log back in with their registration code. Capturing video of the momentous occasion is highly encouraged but not required. All hole-in-one photos and video will go up on Volvik’s website, the Volvik USA Facebook page. The contest will be a national campaign for Volvik that includes on-course events and in-store giveaways.

“The most unique part about this contest is that it goes until the end of June next year,” said Claffey. “Golfers get multiple chances to win as every time they play they will have four shots at it so the odds are much greater than the usual one-shot events. We can’t wait to see to start celebrating the hole-in-ones with golfers playing our products!”

The DS-77 is Volvik’s new extreme distance ball that is designed to perform with more spin on the ball around the greens. The DS in the name stands for Dual Spin as the ball is made to be long off the tee with reduced sidespin with more spin on the greens, making it the perfect hole-in-one ball. It is available in Yellow, Orange and White and retails for $22.99 a dozen.

“This is a really great performing golf ball that has tested with 10% more greenside spin compared to the other leading soft compression balls on the market,” said Claffey. “People will have a lot of fun with this ball.”
