Our Golf & Guitars Friends Love & Theft Prep New Album Release

Two our favorite guys around Haggin Oaks are four-time Golf & Guitars participants Love and Theft. Not only do ACM-nominated country music duo Stephen Barker Liles and Eric Gunderson head to Sacramento every May to help raise funds for our Morton Golf Foundation, they stop in to play some golf everytime they’re in Sacramento on various tours. We’re excited that they’ll be releasing their sophomore album and  self-titled RCA Nashville debut album on July 24. “This record represents the way we sound live,” says Stephen. Eric adds, “You get the warmth and the emotion of the players vibing together in the room. We feel like we have made the record we’ve always wanted to make and we can’t wait to find out what people think about it.”

“Angel Eyes” is Love and Theft’s lead single from their forthcoming record. The song, co-written by Jeff Coplan, Eric Paslay and Eric Gunderson, jumped into the Top 10 last week on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart andCountry Aircheck and is climbing the charts. The track has sold over 350K digital downloads and the music video for “Angel Eyes” has received over 1.2 million views on VEVO.com.

Love and Theft are out on the road this summer with Brad Paisley’s Virtual Reality World Tour. “We’re playing on the ‘Virtual Opry’ stage,” Eric says, “which is a pretty real depiction of what the Grand Ole Opry stage looks like in Nashville. It’s been great fun.”
