Celebrate Shorter, Social, Sharable Golf With NCGA PLAY! at Haggin Oaks Golf Complex starting August 13.
We are excited at Haggin Oaks to host the kick-off event for NCGA PLAY! The Northern California Golf Association is debuting a series of shorter, faster, and more affordable ways to play golf, whether it’s on a course, putting green, or driving range. We will be partnering with the NCGA to create unique clinics, games, mini-leagues, 5 and 9 hole formats and fun team competitions. Of course, you need to be an NCGA member to join the fun—and they are making THAT easy too. Until the end of the year, anyone can join for just $25 on their website. Then you can sign up for events here at Haggin Oaks to join the fun.
Want to learn what NCGA PLAY! is all about? Join us at our Kick-Off Party on Saturday, August 13th here at Haggin Oaks. There will be free instruction, fun mini-games, prizes, and more! Instruction and games run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and again in the evening from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. To get into the Olympic Golf spirit (the men will be playing in Rio that day), we are hosting driving and putting competitions just like they did at the last Golf Olympics competition in 1904 (the winning longest drive then was 234 yards!).
During the morning and evening sessions you can join the NCGA (if you’re not a current member) and register for the 6-week Tuesday evening games that run from August 16th—September 20th, as well as a handful of weekend events. No handicaps are needed to play in this series of events. You can register as a single, twosome or foursome—guys and gals or mixed teams are all welcome! The cost per week is $25 per player, which includes the instruction, game and prizes, 5 holes of golf with cart and a drink ticket. There is space for 36 players each week who will make up our 9 teams. What a great opportunity to make some new golfing friends!
