Kathy Gildersleeve-Jensen is the first female and the first pro from the Pacific Northwest section to win the PGA Teacher of the Year Award since its inception in 1986. Kathy started playing golf at 9 years old on a 9 hole golf course in Baker City, Oregon and earned a golf scholarship from Oregon State University. After college, she became a PGA and LPGA Club Golf Professional under legendary Mr Joe Durgan and has been a PGA Class A Professional since 1990. Kathy is known for her innovative teaching techniques that embrace modern technology. She gives live webcam, personal online lessons through Golf Coach Direct and is very active on her twitter account – @KGJgolf. Currently, Kathy is Director of Golf Teaching and Coaching and Co-Founder of Jensen Lindelblad Impact Golf Academy located at Indian Canyon Golf Course in Spokane, WA.
