Valentine_480Treat the ones you love to a day of golf on Valentine’s Day, where we’ll be handing out FREE brownies and Chocolate Covered Strawberries to the first 200 guests, courtesy of Sugar Mama’s Bakery and the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex.

Sugar Mama’s Bakery has been in the bakery business for more than 30 years. Their love and passion for baking is probably the secret ingredient that makes everything taste so good. Sugar Mama’s Bakery has everything from cookies to wedding cakes.

The MacKenzie Golf Course is, without a doubt, the player’s course at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex. Designed by the mastermind behind Augusta National and measuring a respectable 6,991-yards from the back tees, this 73-year-old track, originally designed by world renowned architect, Alister MacKenzie, is a true test of golf skills.

For those golfers out there who are more interested in a tamer test of their skills, the middle tees play to 6,542-yards and the forward tees offer a softer challenge at a mere 6,057-yards. Whatever tee you play from, you’ll be treated to a great escape from the heart of the city and the concrete jungle as you play among the stately heritage oaks along the plush bent grass greens and fairways of the MacKenzie Course.

The Arcade Creek Golf Course is a relatively flat layout designed and built to be friendly to every skill level. The front nine was opened to the public in 1952 with the back nine opening two years later in 1954. The course can still be played as either a nine-hole track or 18-hole regulation round which makes it ideal for beginners, walkers and leagues.

As with the MacKenzie track, the Arcade Creek course is nicely framed by beautiful heritage oaks and is a great escape from the noise and commotion of the city.
