Arccos, the pioneer of big data and artificial intelligence for golf, has announced that its Arccos Caddie platform and innovative hardware offerings – Smart Sensors, Smart Grips and LINK – have won prestigious Golf Digest Editors’ Choice Awards for 2020.

It marks the fifth consecutive year that the brand and its game-changing products have been recognized by America’s leading golf publication, which spotlights what it describes as ‘The Best Things in Golf’ reaching over 14 million golfers.

Highlighted in the magazine’s forthcoming issue and across its website and social media platforms, the Arccos products are acclaimed by Golf Digest Editorial Director Max Adler, within the progressive technology product category.

“We are thrilled to have Golf Digest recognize Arccos Golf and its products five times in succession as we use advanced analytics to disrupt the game of golf and help more players improve their scoring rapidly,” said Sal Syed, Arccos CEO and Co-Founder. “Working closely with leading industry partners such as Cobra and PING, we’re taking the concept of a smart caddie to the next level through the power of A.I. With Arccos Caddie, golfers of all skill levels can see their optimal strategy and outcome predictions for every shot on any hole in the world and adjust their game and practice routines accordingly,” he added.

The Arccos Smart Sensors are golf’s first and only fully-automatic performance tracking system, with 14 sensors for every club in the bag to help golfers make smarter decisions; each set of 13 premium Smart Grips can be installed in any set of golf clubs without the need for special tools; while the Arccos Caddie LINK is a lightweight wearable that will allow Arccos users to automatically record on-course performance data without the need to carry a smartphone in their pocket.

This latest Arccos accolade has been fuelled by the 4.2 stroke average handicap improvement realized by Arccos Caddie users who played with the platform during at least five rounds in 2019 (up from 3.79 in 2018).

Since the introduction of the revolutionary advanced analytics, as many as 300,000 Arccos users in 194 countries have taken 200 million shots when playing 3.8 million rounds of golf. They have also paired 1.7 million clubs with Arccos Smart Sensors while being measured by 8 billion on-course data points at more than 40,000 golf courses. Thanks to the help of A.I. in club selection and the Precision Pin-Positioning feature on the new Arccos Caddie Rangefinder, the world’s first artificial intelligence-powered GPS rangefinder, they’re also 5.5 times more likely than other golfers to get a hole in one!

The Arccos A.I. platform considers a wide variety of inputs, including a user’s shot history, the historical performance of other Arccos users, weather conditions, elevation changes, hole geometry, and hazard locations. The Arccos Caddie Rangefinder has the unique capacity to adjust in real-time for slope, wind (speed/direction/gusts), temperature, humidity, and altitude. It can then compare the altitude measurements with those at the user’s home course to provide them with more precise club selections than ever.

Listed among the “World’s Most Innovative Companies 2018” by Fast Company, ranking #3 in the Sports category globally, Arccos boasts the golf industry’s richest data set. In 2018, Arccos and Cobra launched golf’s first smart set, Cobra Connect Powered by Arccos. Every club in the current KING Cobra line features an Arccos sensor embedded in the grip and a new single club upgrade program has been introduced. The new G710 iron range from PING also comes standard with Arccos Smart Grips and a free trial with Arccos Caddie, following fruitful collaboration in 2019 on clubs through the manufacturer’s custom order process.

Arccos products are available at Dick’s Sporting Goods, Golf Galaxy, Club Champion fitting locations, Apple Stores, Microsoft Stores, Amazon and other leading golf, sporting goods, and technology retailers worldwide.
